Equip 100 women in DR Congo with Tools, Skills and Dignity

At Progress for All, we work alongside women in Goma, eastern Congo, survivors of sexual violence rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Progress for All is a UK-registered charity (registration: 1179044), and 100% of what we raise goes directly to the women in this program. Over 15 months, we trained these women in professional tailoring, teaching them not just to sew, but to run a trade that can support their families for years. They showed up, they learned, and many graduated with real, marketable skills. But a skill without tools goes unused. Right now, most graduates own nothing more than the knowledge in their hands, no sewing machine, no scissors, no fabric to take on their first client. Without that equipment, even our most talented graduates are pushed straight back into the poverty they were trying to escape. We're raising £15,000 to provide 100 complete start-up sewing kits to our graduating women, £150 per woman, fully equipping her to launch her own micro-business.

For each woman, this kit is the difference between a certificate on the wall and a business on the street. With her own machine, she can launch a micro-enterprise immediately, taking in mending, making school uniforms, sewing for neighbours and local shops. It's how a survivor becomes a shop owner, and how a struggling family starts to see a stable income.
