Equity
Every individual deserves equal opportunities, free from discrimination.
Progress for All is a charity dedicated to improving the life prospects of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Living a decent life is a basic human right which every individual should enjoy despite where they live.
Our Mission
Consolidate peace, promote community cohesion, and advance social and economic freedom among disadvantaged youth in the DRC.
Our Vision
A community free from poverty and social inequality, where young people enjoy opportunities, awareness, and improved life prospects.
Every individual deserves equal opportunities, free from discrimination.
We enable individuals and communities to take ownership of their futures.
We promote long-term solutions that protect resources and strengthen communities.
We encourage adaptation and perseverance in the face of adversity.
The Founder
Founder, Progress for All
Patrick Changa founded Progress for All after arriving in the UK as a refugee at the age of 21. Despite language barriers and the challenges of resettlement, he earned a degree in International Development with Overseas Experience and a Master's in Agriculture and Rural Development at the University of East Anglia, followed by a Master's in Mental Health Nursing at the University of Essex.
Patrick has worked as a British Red Cross caseworker supporting refugees and asylum seekers, contributed to a University of Sussex research project on refugee integration policies in the UK, and worked with Restless Development in Uganda empowering young people to lead community transformation.
Eight pillars guide everything we build with communities in the DRC.
Empower individuals to create income-generating activities and build resilient local economies.
Expand access to clean energy and promote environmentally responsible job creation.
Build practical skills and confidence for self-reliance and community impact.
Advance gender equality by ensuring inclusive access to leadership, education, and psychosocial support across all programmes.
Mobilise communities around prevention, awareness and access to essential care.
Break stigma and open pathways to psychosocial support for young people.
Restore productive land and reliable food systems for families and communities.
Consolidate peace and strengthen the social fabric that holds communities together.
